I don't think the Mods would close your thread, either. However, I understand if you're more comfortable taking this to a blog.
I, too, am interested in how the kids are reacting to the project.

This is Cheez_Whia from the boards! Maybe you can tell your classes that 'Mesa" is Spanish for "table", and that many place names in the American West are from Spanish.
Now I'm all curious who the other doper from Montreal is.
